My passion for cycling

I started bicycling at the age of around 8 to 9 years old.  My uncle gave me a two wheels bike with two assisted wheels at the back.  This was the bike I started cycling.
When I was in grade 4, I rented bikes with my classmates or friends near where I lived for 20 cents for half hour. For three speed bike the rental fee would be 30 cents for half hour.  I remember there were 蝴蝶头和飞机头之分。 The 10 speed bikse would be 50 cents for half hour and was too expensive for me at that time.  I always rented the the bikes for half hour and cruised around my neighborhood.

I remember I had my first bike when I graduated from university and father let me buy a race bike for HK$800 in 1982.  It was a race bike made in Japan.  I still keeping this bike and ride on it sometimes.

My second bike was bought in Shenyang for RMB350 in 1993. It was a single speed bike for commuting  to work and transportation. I used it a lot and always I used it to give Minghua a ride home.  I took the bike to Beijing in 1995 and it got stolen in the same year.

In Beijing I bought a 28" Yongjiu old bike for RMB30 in 1995 and spent RMB120 to overhaul this bike. I rode this bike to work or to commute around town and finally this bike was abandoned on the street when I moved to International Friendship Garden in 1998.

In 1998 I won a mountain bike 黑马 from our company's drawing in Christmas Party. I am still keeping this bike but seldom use it due to it is too heavy.
